User Guide

How to use a custom page banner image

You may use up to twenty (20) banner images.

  1. Create or find an image you want to use as your page banner.
  2. The banner image must be 200px tall and 40px less wide than the selected Layout Width in the Page Inspector → Styles tab. If your layout width is 740px wide, your image should be 700px wide.
  3. In RapidWeaver, open your website file and view the Themes panel (View → Show Themes).
  4. Right-click on the Silk theme and select Reveal Theme Contents in Finder.
  5. In the resultant Finder window, place your image into
    /Contents/images/editable_images/.
  6. Ensure your image is named image1.jpg…image20.jpg using only lower-case letters.
  7. In RapidWeaver, select Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, etc from the Banner Image options in the Theme Variations panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Sidebar Divider? Why is it not working?

The sidebar divider is a horizontal line that divides the sidebar menu from any sidebar content shown below the sidebar menu. The sidebar divider will not be shown if there is no sidebar menu present. To display a sidebar divider on a RapidWeaver page, ensure you have the sidebar menu is present and that you have chosen to show the sidebar divider in the Theme Variations panel.

Can I change the color of Silk's main menu tabs?

Due to design constraints, menu tab color pickers were not implemented into Silk. However, I do provide Photoshop templates with your Silk purchase. You can use these templates to create and install your own custom tabs. These templates are located in the Extras folder that came with your product download.
