Yes, Satin supports up to seven ExtraContent locations. Refer to the Satin user guide for more details.
Does Satin support HTML5 elements?
Yes, Satin will support HTML5 elements.
Can I disable the background images?
Yes. To disable the background image on a given page, select "None" in the
Page Inspector → Styles → Layout Background Images variation.
Will the background image work in Internet Explorer 6?
Yes, but only if you choose a PNG without an embedded alpha channel. The background image will not work in IE6 if you choose a PNG image with an embedded alpha channel.
User Guide
ExtraContent
Satin supports up to seven ExtraContent locations. These locations are:
- The top of the sidebar
- The bottom of the sidebar, above any plugin-generated content
- The bottom of the sidebar, below any plugin-generated content
- The top of the page content
- The bottom of the page content
- The top of the site footer, above any footer content
- The bottom of the site footer, below any footer content
How to use a custom page banner image
You may use up to twenty (20) banner images.
- Create or find an image you want to use as your page banner.
- The banner image must be 200px tall and as wide as the selected Layout Width in the Page Inspector → Styles tab.
- In RapidWeaver, open your website file and view the Themes panel (View → Show Themes).
- Right-click on the Satin theme and select Reveal Theme Contents in Finder.
- In the resultant Finder window, place your image into
/Contents/images/editable_images/. - Ensure your image is named banner1.jpg…banner20.jpg using only lower-case letters.
- In RapidWeaver, select Image 1, Image 2, Image 3, etc from the Banner Image options in the Theme Variations panel.
How to use a custom background image
You may use up to ten (10) background images.
- Create or find an image you want to use as your page banner. The banner image may be as tall or as wide as you like. Keep in mind, the image will be positioned along the top of the browser window and repeated horizontally. It is best to choose an image that will seamlessly repeat horizontally.
- In RapidWeaver, open your website file and view the Themes panel (View → Show Themes).
- Right-click on the Satin theme and select Reveal Theme Contents in Finder.
- In the resultant Finder window, place your image into
/Contents/images/editable_images/. - Ensure your image is named background1.png…background10.png using only lower-case letters. Please note that only PNG images are supported at this time.
- In RapidWeaver, select Background 1, Background 2, Background 3, etc from the Background Image options in the Theme Variations panel.
