Modernity 3 Upgrade
Thank you for upgrading to Modernity 3! Below are simple instructions to help you complete this upgrade. If you have any questions, please contact me using my contact form.
What is new in Modernity 3?
This is a minor update that includes several new features. These features and improvements are:
- Enabled page banner compatibility with Ad Block software in web browsers
- Fixed main menu rendering issue in IE6 where menu corners would appear lower than the rest of the menu.
- Added Verdana to avaiable font variations.
Page Banner Images
If you use custom banner images on your Modernity 2 website, you will need to copy your custom banner images into the Modernity 3 theme file and rename these files. Please follow these instructions.
- Locate your original modernity.rwtheme at ~/Library/Application Support/RapidWeaver/
- Right-click on modernity.rwtheme and choose Show Package Contents
- In the resultant Finder, navigate to /Contents/images/editable_images/
- Copy all images into the same location in the new modernity.rwtheme v3.0 file
- Rename all images from banner#.jpg to image#.jpg, where # is 1, 2, 3, etc.
- You can now overwrite your original modernity.rwtheme file with the new modernity.rwtheme file
- Restart RapidWeaver and read the information below in the next section.
Check Your RapidWeaver Website
Since several changes were made to the page banners, you should confirm that your Modernity website displays as expected. Quickly browse through your pages in RapidWeaver just to make sure everything appears okay.
If your page appears incorrect, make sure the Page Banner Image variation is set correctly. If all else fails, you can reset the given page's theme variations to the default setting to ensure everything is reset properly.
